Action Taken Under Delegated Authority: Risk Management Strategy

On 13 December 2022 Councillor Malik, Cabinet Member for Resources exercised their delegated authority to approve the Risk Management Strategy as set out in report FIN/599 which was published on 29 November 2022 in Councillors’ Information Bulletin IB/1159.

Action Taken Under Delegated Action (Significant Operational Decision): Parking Concession Agreement with Gym Group

On 14 December 2022, the Head of Community Services took the decision to agree with the Gym Group (based in Queens Square) a parking concession in the Orchard Street MSCP, which will guarantee a minimum annual income over an initial 3-year period, with the flexibility to transfer to an alternative car park in the future if required.

 

The decision was taken by the Head of Community Services in consultation with the Head of Corporate Finance and the Leader of the Council. With the Cabinet Member for Environmental Services & Sustainability, Councillor Jhans, having a conflict of interest on the matter, Councillor Jones (as Leader of the Council) was consulted.

6.

Section 106 Monies Committed

£56,000 of collected Section 106 Tree Mitigation Funds has been committed to the planting and maintenance (for 5 years) of 30 mature trees and 500 whips being planted at Tilgate Park, as part of a Communal Woodland which forms part of the Queens Green Canopy.
