The Chief Executive, under the Emergency Urgency Decision powers, has approved the release of Discretionary Business Grant payments up to a cumulative total of £612,750 and delegated authority to the Head of Corporate Finance and the Head of Economy and Planning to take the decisions on individual business grant payments, subject to successful due diligence checks, application assessment and fraud checks.

The decision was taken in consultation with Councillor Lamb (as Leader of the Council), Councillor P Smith (as Cabinet Member for Planning and Economic Development), Councillor Crow (as Leader of the Conservative Party) and Councillor Purdy (as Shadow Cabinet Member for Planning and Economic Development) who all confirmed their support.

Invitations have been sent out to all Councillors for the following All-Member seminars:

·       District Heat Network Seminar: Thursday 30 July at 6.30pm (note the revised time).

·       Budget and Finance Seminar: Wednesday 23 September at 6.30pm.
