Consultation process

A statutory period of six-week formal public consultation ‘Publication’ will be carried out during 2020, following a favourable Full Council decision, on all documents supporting the Local Plan’s Examination, ahead of its submission to the Secretary of State.

Respondents will be asked to consider whether they believe the Plan to be ‘Legally Compliant’ and ‘Sound’; and to explain their response.

Comments received at this stage of consultation will be collated by the council officers and will be submitted to the Secretary of State along with the Local Plan for their consideration by the independent Planning Inspector as part of the Plan’s examination.
