Town Centre Signage (Memorial Gardens & High Street)

Cabinet report (PES/252 -Town Centre Signage and Wayfinding) dated 29 November 2017 gave delegated approval for the Head of Economic and Environmental Services (now Economy and Planning), in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Planning and Economic Development, to agree the final design and placement locations of the signs.

In 2018, a number of signs were installed in and around the town centre and these have been well received by the public and business community. Following further consultation, a need for new signage in Memorial Gardens and the Historic High Street, has been identified.

The design and placement of these additional signs have been agreed, in accordance with the delegation granted by Cabinet, by the Head of Economy and Planning, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Planning and Economic Development (and The Leader of the Council)

The new signs will be installed during March 2019.
