Consultation process

The Council is required to undertake statutory consultation on the declaration of a new AQMA or an extension to an existing AQMA prior to its formal declaration by legal order. Schedule 11 of the Environment Act 1995 lists statutory consultees which includes members of the public and other relevant local groups.

The consultation will be promoted on the council website for a period of 4 weeks (18.01.21 -14.02.21), and the outcome of the consultation will be reported to March Cabinet (10.03.21).
