The Leader of the Council has responsibility for:
· The overall staffing of the Council.
· Governance.
· Mayoralty and ceremonial matters.
· Communications.
· Finance (rating, business rates, council tax, funds and investment management, the Budget, borrowing, fraud).
· Finance and Procurement (risk management and insurance matters).
· Council owned commercial properties.
· Council owned garages (non-Crawley Homes).
· Civil contingencies (including emergency planning).
· Asset Management.
· Shared Prosperity Fund.
