The Cabinet
is responsible for most council services and makes the day-to-day
decisions on behalf of the council.
It is made
up of the Leader of the Council and seven other councillors chosen
by the Leader.
The Cabinet
meets roughly once every four to five weeks.
Each member
of the Cabinet has a ‘portfolio’ of services for which
they are responsible. A list of the portfolio responsibilities can
be found
here within the The “Executive”
Function (The Leader and the Cabinet) from the
Constitution.
Members of
the public are welcome at meetings of the Cabinet.
