Action Taken Under Delegated Authority: Authority to Approve New Partnering Consultancy Contracts

On 1 March 2023 Councillor Jones, as Leader of the Council, approved the following in relation to the Partnering Consultancy contracts as set out in report HPS/033 which was published for Councillors only on 21 February 2023 in Councillors’ Information Bulletin IB/1170:

a)              The award for Lot A Construction Design and Management (CDM) Principal Designer services to Bidder number 22

b)              The award for Lot B Civil Engineering services to Bidder number 27

c)              The award for Lot C Clerk of Work services to Bidder number 22

d)              The award for Lot D Drainage and Flood Alleviation services to Bidder number 27

e)              The award for Lot E Quantity Surveying services to Bidder number 17

f)               The award for Lot F Structural Engineering services to Bidder number 27

g)              That, in the unlikely event that one of the first-choice consultants above rejects the contract offer, the Council appoint the alternative Bidder/s as listed in paragraph 6.2 of report HPS/033.

Section 106 Monies

£40,000 of collected S106 Town Centre, Public Art Contribution Monies has been committed as match-funding for the Creative Playground Programme, an Arts Council funded three-year project based in Crawley. Crawley Borough Council will work with the Crawley Playmakers: a new inclusive network model for creative community action, bringing together residents and others in Crawley to make choices about what and how arts and culture happens in their town through a series of ‘Town Hall meetings’, facilitated by experienced community artists.
