Action Taken Under Delegated Authority (Significant Operational Decision): Extension of Lease Agreement of the Orchard Building to Crawley Community Action

Crawley Community Action (CCA), a voluntary and community sector infrastructure organisation, have a lease agreement (peppercorn rent) in place with the Council for The Orchard, 1-2 Gleneagles Court, Brighton Road, Crawley, West Sussex, RH10 6AD, until December 2021.

 

On 16 June 2021 the Head of Community Services took the decision to agree a 6 month extension to the current lease agreement, to June 21st 2022, with a view to further extension based on CCA's future business plan.  This decision was taken in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Public Protection and Community Engagement.  Further information on this decision can be found on the Council’s website.

Action Taken Under Delegated Authority (Significant Operational Decision): NHS Free Parking at Orchard Street Car Park

As part of the COVID-19 response, Local Authorities, including Crawley have been offering free parking to NHS Staff and “Vaccinator Staff,” at Orchard Street Car Park. This was due to expire on 21st June 2021 to coincide with the original date for stage 4 of the government roadmap.

 

On 18 June 2021 the Head of Community Services took the decision to maintain free parking for NHS staff at Orchard Street Car Park until 21st September 2021.  This decision was taken in consultation with the Leader of the Council and Cabinet Member for Environmental Services and Sustainability.  Further information on this decision can be found on the Council’s website.
