Action Taken Under Delegated Powers: High Weald AONB Management Plan 2019-2024

Councillor Peter Smith, as Cabinet Member for Planning and Economic Development, exercised delegated authority in accordance with the Constitution on 11 March 2019 to approve the High Weald AONB Management Plan 2019-2024 as set out in the consideration report included in Councillor’s Information Bulletin IB/963.

Action Taken Under Delegated Powers (Significant Operational Decision): Town Centre Signage (Memorial Gardens & High Street)

Cabinet report (PES/252 -Town Centre Signage and Wayfinding) dated 29 November 2017 gave delegated approval for the Head of Economic and Environmental Services (now Economy and Planning), in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Planning and Economic Development, to agree the final design and placement locations of those signs.

 

In 2018, a number of signs were installed in and around the Town Centre and these have been well received by the public and business community. Following further consultation, a need for new signage in Memorial Gardens and the Historic High Street, has been identified.

 

The design and placement of new signage in Memorial Gardens and the Historic High Street has been agreed, in accordance with the delegation granted by Cabinet, by the Head of Economy and Planning, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Planning and Economic Development (and The Leader of the Council) on 26 February 2019.

 

The new signs will be installed during March 2019.
