On 25 November 2020, Cabinet approved delegated authority to the Head of Digital and Transformation for the mobilisation of a project and to sign the necessary contracts to move the IT Infrastructure to the public cloud. Since this approval, the Head of Digital and Transformation has initiated a procurement exercise and providers submitted tender responses. Following the tender assessment, the Head of Digital and Transformation exercised delegated authority on 12/02/21 to preferred partner (bidder C), to work with the Council.

Alternative options considered:

A GCloud12 procurement was launched and providers submitted a tender response.
