Purpose:

Natalie Brahma-Pearl, Chief Executive has authorised a restructure of the Corporate Management Team (CMT).

The proposals created a CMT with 7.5 head of service roles and address the temporary arrangements in place for more than a year and produce synergies across services. In particular:
• Returning strategic planning and development management to the same division
• Maintaining the additional support required to sustain the council’s ambitious housebuilding programme
• Balancing and equalising the levels of responsibility across service areas
• Delivering a saving to the council through a part-time head of service

The proposed structure chart is attached.

There will be a transition period over the summer to allow a handover of services where necessary and the new structure will take effect from 1 September.

To restructure the Corporate Management Team and their responsibilities as attached.

various options were considered following a vigorous consultation process with staff and those officers immediately effected.
