Action Taken Under Delegated Authority: Worth Conservation Area Statement

Councillor P Smith, Cabinet Member for Planning and Economic Development, exercised authority in accordance with the Constitution on 7 February 2018 to approve the adoption of the Worth Conservation Area Statement as set out in consideration report SHAP/70 included in Councillors’ Information Bulletin IB/909.

Action Taken Under Delegated Authority: Ifield Village Conservation Area Statement

Councillor P Smith, Cabinet Member for Planning and Economic Development, exercised authority in accordance with the Constitution on 7 February 2018 to approve the adoption of the Ifield Village Conservation Area Statement as set out in consideration report SHAP/71 included in Councillors’ Information Bulletin IB/909.

Councillor P Smith, Cabinet Member for Planning and Economic Development, exercised authority in accordance with the Constitution on 7 February 2018 to approve the adoption of the Worth Conservation Area Statement as set out in consideration report SHAP/72 included in Councillors’ Information Bulletin IB/909.

Authority's Monitoring Report 2016/2017

The 2016/17 Authority’s Monitoring Report (AMR) for Crawley has now been published on the council website. It can be accessed at www.crawley.gov.uk/amr.

 

All local planning authorities are required to prepare and issue an AMR regularly in order to assess their progress in the development and implementation of planning policies.

 

The 2016/17 AMR assesses the progress of the programme of policy documents detailed council’s Local Development Scheme (LDS), and the implementation of key policies of the recently adopted 2015 Local Plan. Key topics include:

Progress in the preparation and adoption of the following planning documents:

·        Supplementary Planning Documents;

·        Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) Charging Schedule and supporting documents/guidance;

·        Development Briefs and Conservation Area Statements.

Monitoring of policy implementation, focusing on:

·        Policy H1: Housing Provision;

·        Policy H4: Affordable and Low Cost Housing;

·        Policy EC1: Sustainable Economic Growth;

·        Policy EC6: Development Sites within the Town Centre Boundary;

·        Other Policies;

·        Appeal Decisions;

·        Performance against key Sustainability Objectives.

Information on other matters required to be covered by an AMR:

·        Neighbourhood Development Plans/Orders;

·        CIL Income and Expenditure;

·        Crawley’s Self-build and Custom Housebuilding Register;

·        Actions undertaken in line with the statutory Duty to Cooperate.

 

The report focuses primarily on the period April-March, but includes some more up-to-date information from the 2017/18 monitoring period.
