The town’s Victorian bandstand will be located to the Memorial Gardens early in the New Year.

Crawley Borough Council has been working with Leander Architecture to refurbish and restore the bandstand after it was moved from Queens Square to make way for the regeneration works in 2016.

The bandstand was placed in storage and is now being returned to its former beauty at Leander’s workshops in Derbyshire, before being installed in the north-west corner of the Memorial Gardens.

Construction of the foundations for the bandstand to rest on will begin in December and be completed in January, ready for the installation of the bandstand, flooring and lighting. Completion is expected in February.
